Durbell Co., Ltd., a TCP Group company and one of Thailand’s leading consumer goods distributors with more than 17 years of experience, has today implemented three new intensive measures for consumer goods distribution during the COVID-19 crisis. These measures include parallel rotation team arrangement, enabling each team to switch and rotate duties and responsibilities in case of emergency; launching an efficient operational plan by cooperating with highly experienced executives within each outlet to ensure the smooth operation throughout the journey, and thirdly accelerating its fast and flexible distribution system. The company is also aiding COVID-19 prevention operations by using its logistics network to distribute 15 million baht of medical equipment, supported by TCP Group, to needy hospitals nationwide.

Mr. Surachai Chonglertvarawong, Managing Director of Durbell Co., Ltd., said, “Durbell is aware of its duty during this time of crisis. We understand that no matter what the circumstances are, it is important to always put our best efforts towards distributing consumer goods from manufacturers to stores and consumers with efficiency, speed, and punctuality. We want to be another reliable force that helps relieve difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic, and can continuously supply consumer products to trading partners without the risk of shortages.”

Durbell has adjusted three measures to increase its distribution efficiency to be even more extensive and expedient, which include:

  1. Protecting the safety of employees and coupling up parallel rotation workforces to be ready in emergency situations. The company continues to increase safety measures for employees who work offsite and work from home. Back-up plans have been implemented by setting up two separate teams to work parallelly. Both teams can immediately switch and rotate duties and responsibilities in case of emergency.
  2. Launching an efficient operational plan. The company has conducted drill sessions with employees to cope with various crisis situations. Even at its peak level, which requires staff to work from home, the company is still able to run business and continue to service trading partners as usual.
  3. Extensive nationwide warehouses. The strongest value of Durbell is its 24 outlets and warehouses located throughout Thailand. With more than 1,000 trucks of sales and distribution teams, together with local employees, this enables the company to adjust operational processes swiftly, without needing to wait for delivery from central warehouses. This will lessen issues of cross-provincial transportation during the imposed state of emergency.

Furthermore, Durbell enhances its value and expertise in consumer goods distribution by helping deliver medical equipment, in collaboration with TCP Group and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Red Cross Society. It includes 100,000 Perma Nano Zinc face masks and 50 movable disease testing booths, worth 15 million baht, to major hospitals in Bangkok and provincial hospitals nationwide namely King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, Police Hospital, Pattani Hospital, Yala Hospital, and Pak Chong Na Na Hospital. All medical equipment will increase the safety of health care workers and assist in reducing the spread of COVID-19 virus.
