An official delegation from China’s Hainan province arrived at TCP headquarters in Thailand to take part in a conference. The delegation included the Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Province, Shen Danyang, and the Minister Counsellor for Economical and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Wang Liping, together with representatives of the Hainan Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province and key industrial parks in Hainan. Saravoot Yoovidhya, CEO of TCP Group, Supachai Junkeiat, President of TCP Group China, and other TCP Group representatives also attended the conference. Over the course of the conference, both sides engaged in detailed discussions around how TCP Group can make full use of the Hainan Free Trade Port and deepen the Group’s development in China.

The conference began with a warm welcome to the Hainan delegation delivered by Saravoot Yoovidhya, following which, Supachai Junkeiat briefed the delegates on TCP’s future development plans in Hainan. Executive Vice Governor Shen then provided a detailed introduction to relevant areas of policy around the Hainan Free Trade Port that would support TCP Group’s plans. The members of the delegation also provided input to TCP Group's specific requirements concerning the import of raw materials and the expansion of its existing production capacity in Hainan.

As an important stage in the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Port, the China International Consumer Products Expo 2023 will be held in Haikou from April 11 to April 15. At the invitation of Executive Vice Governor Shen, TCP Group will attend the Expo this year. TCP Group has deep ties to the vibrant island province of Hainan. In 1993, following the international success of Red Bull, TCP Group founder, Chaleo Yoovidhya, established the first Red Bull factory in China in the Yoovidhya family’s ancestral home of Hainan, marking Red Bull’s official entry into the China market. Today, with the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the continuous improvement in the province’s business environment, Hainan has become a new benchmark for China’s high-level opening up. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Red Bull's entry into China, and the visit of the Hainan delegation is of great significance to the TCP Group.

Thirty years ago, Red Bull started its journey in China from Hainan and has been privileged to participate the province’s flourishing development over the past three decades. Today, with the support and guidance of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and the Hainan Government, TCP Group aims to capture the full benefits presented by the Hainan Free Trade Port policy as it leverages the full strength of the Red Bull brand and the opportunities presented by the Free Trade Port to bring more high-quality products to Chinese consumers as part of its mission about ‘Energizing a Better World for All’.
