TCP Vietnam Accompanies Vietnamese Youth through the Project “Community Sport Yard - Energizing Vietnamese Youth”
TCP Vietnam officially inaugurated the “Community Sport Yard” in An Thang Ward, Da Nang City, marking an important milestone in the second year of implementing the project “Community Sport Yard - Energizing Vietnamese Youth”. This is a long-term project implemented by TCP Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) and the National Volunteer Center (VVC) with the coordination and support of the City Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of Da Nang City with the goal of upgrading 20 sports fields nationwide in the period of 2024 - 2026, contributing to improving the physical and mental well-being of Vietnamese youth.
In the first year of implementation - 2024, TCP Vietnam has completed 9 Community Sport Yards in many provinces and cities. More than just infrastructure development, the project aims to give young people spiritual support, a place to connect and affirm their youth. After renovation, the fields have all become vibrant places for sports activities and training, bringing a healthy environment for young people and the local community.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Vietnam Youth Federation, shared: “In 2024, the project achieved highly positive results with 9 community sports spaces put into operation. These are not only important sports infrastructure projects but also cultural and athletic gathering places where young people can exercise, energize their energy, and nurture a spirit of solidarity and community awareness. We greatly appreciate the companionship of TCP Group and TCP Vietnam, as this partnership makes a practical contribution to building a dynamic, healthy Vietnamese youth generation ready for integration.”
The success in 2024 shows that TCP Vietnam's orientation is aligned with real community needs, and affirms that the vision of "Energizing a better world for all" is not only a motivational message but has been realized through specific, practical projects for young people and local people.
In 2025, TCP Vietnam continues to upgrade 6 new sports fields. To date, the project has inaugurated 2 fields in Tuyen Quang and Gia Lai provinces, while promoting the implementation of 4 more fields in other provinces and cities including: Da Nang, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen and Tay Ninh.
The inauguration of the Community Sport Yard in An Thang ward, Da Nang city on September 20, 2025, just over two months after the merger of administrative units and two-level government into operation, demonstrates the companionship of TCP Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the National Volunteer Center and the coordination of Da Nang City Youth Union in accompanying local Party committees and authorities in creating institutions to contribute to caring for and improving the health and spirit of people and children. The project includes the construction of a new volleyball court, the installation of an outdoor sports equipment area for people, and the renovation of a soccer field for teenagers. The total area is more than 3,400m2, meeting the training needs of 200 people per day, serving over 3,000 residents and 500 young workers and students in the area.
Every day, hundreds of young people will come to practice, to regain balance after school and work hours; to transform sports activities into moments of connection, sharing, and energizing positive energy to life.
Upon completion, the project will be handed over to the Local Youth Union to coordinate with the community to manage, ensure effective use and sustainability through quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews.
Sharing about the project, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hien Huy, Country Director of TCP Vietnam affirmed: “Through the “Community Sport Yard”, TCP Vietnam aims to contribute to creating a healthy environment, encouraging young people to exercise, and enhancing the spirit of community cohesion. This is our long-term commitment to accompany the comprehensive development of the young generation of Vietnam - the true owners of the country.”
The project “Community Sport Yard - Energizing Vietnamese Youth” goes beyond building playgrounds, also a clear demonstration of TCP Vietnam’s vision and commitment in the journey of investing in the young generation of Vietnam, spreading the spirit of sports and arousing the spirit of solidarity in the community.
With a plan to complete all 20 yards by 2026, TCP Vietnam believes that the project will become one of the sustainable imprints, making positive contributions to the physical and spiritual lives of Vietnamese youth across the country.
