Ms. Mallika Lungnimitmas, Marketing Department Director, Thailand Country Department at TCP Group, said “Amid the ongoing heat wave and rising temperatures across many parts of Thailand, staying refreshed and maintaining the body’s electrolyte balance are especially important. Prolonged exposure to hot weather causes the body to lose sweat, which also depletes essential electrolytes needed for proper bodily function. As the number one sports drink in Thailand, Sponsor understands these concerns and cares deeply about the well-being of Thai people. That is why we are continuing our ‘Sponsor Heat Combat’ campaign for the third consecutive year, helping Thai people stay refreshed and replenish the electrolytes lost through sweat so they can keep going with their daily activities even on extremely hot days. We kick off the campaign by joining hands with the ‘Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)’ to support ‘BKK Cooling Center’ initiative before rolling out our ‘Ambu-Ron: Heat Rescue Unit’ caravan to provinces across the country, sharing refreshment with Thais and helping them beat the heat together throughout this summer.”

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, said “The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration remains committed to continuously improving the quality of life and well-being of the citizens, particularly during the summer season, when extreme heat conditions are becoming more severe and increasingly affecting urban life. According to forecasts from the Thai Meteorological Department, Thailand’s summer in 2026 is expected to continue until mid-May. We have identified 379 heat-risk zones across the city, most of which are open areas and public spaces where large numbers of people live and work. This underscores the importance of preparedness and of providing close care and support for the public. Most recently, the BMA launched the ‘BKK Cooling Center’ initiative as one of its proactive measures focused on safeguarding public health, alongside infrastructure management efforts aimed at sustainably reducing urban heat. The collaboration under the ‘Sponsor Heat Combat’ campaign reflects the combined strength of the public and private sectors in promoting the health and well-being of Bangkok residents with a focus on reducing the impact of extreme heat through preventive measures and long-term health support.”

“Sponsor” has given approximately 22,000 bottles of Sponsor to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to support field officers carrying out their duties in hot weather conditions. The beverages have also been supplied to 42 ‘BKK Cooling Center’ locations across Bangkok to help provide refreshment to members of the citizens using the service. The handover was officially received by Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok

In addition, Sponsor has produced an educational video on self-care and how to cope with hot weather, which is being shared through the brand’s social media channel as another way to help Thai people better prepare for the heat and take appropriate care of their health. Sponsor is also preparing to extend its refreshment campaign nationwide through the “Ambu-Ron: Heat Rescue Unit” activity with a Sponsor caravan set to travel across Bangkok and provinces throughout the country during April–May 2026. Through this initiative, Sponsor will be distributed to people in various areas nationwide to help keep them refreshed and ease the impact of the hot weather throughout the summer season.
