TCP Group Launches "Education for the Future" Public Welfare Program and Donates 2 Million Yuan for Rural Revitalization
The launch and donation ceremony of the "Education for the Future" public welfare program initiated by TCP Group and China Education Development Foundation was successfully held in Xichang. Guests attending the ceremony included Wang Jianguang, Secretary-General of the China Education Development Foundation, Xie Fengshan, President of the Sichuan Education Foundation, Du Liangshan, President of the Liangshan Education Foundation, Supachai Junkeiat, President of TCP Group China, Huang Wufeng, Deputy General Manager of The Paper, representatives of training lecturers and physical education teachers and others. Su Jiefang, Deputy Secretary of the leading Party members group and Deputy Director of the Education and Sports Bureau of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, hosted the ceremony.
The "Education for the Future" public welfare program is a major step of TCP Group to adhere to the corporate objective of "In China, For China", further fulfill its social responsibility, make an active response to the call of the Party and the country, and devote itself to education assistance and rural revitalization.
In October 2020, the General Offices of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving School Physical Education in the New Era. It is proposed to take serving the all-round development of students and enhancing their overall quality as the goal, adhere to the educational concept of health first, enhance the coordination of cultural learning and physical exercise of teenagers, help students enjoy fun in physical exercise, enhance their physical fitness, improve their personality, temper their will, and cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round abilities in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics. In order to respond to the call of the Party and the country and implement the rural revitalization strategy, TCP Group has donated 2 million yuan to the China Education Development Foundation and launched the "Education for the Future" public welfare program. The program will support the improvement of physical education and the development of physical education teachers in 10 key counties in need of assistance in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan.
From the date of launch until 2024, the program will provide 30 physical education teachers selected from the 10 counties with one-week theoretical and practical training. The program will also provide two three-day on-site teaching guidance sessions within one academic year after the training, help relevant schools improve physical education courses, and promote physical education and sports development models suitable for rural schools, thus benefiting more than 10,000 students.
At the program launch and donation ceremony, Wang Jianguang, Secretary-General of the China Education Development Foundation, said, "TCP Group's donation comes at an opportune time. The Education and Sports Bureau of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture attaches great importance to the “Education for the Future” public welfare program. Su Jiefang, Deputy Secretary of the leading Party members group and Deputy Director of the Education and Sports Bureau of Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, expressed his gratitude to TCP Group for its sincere support for Liangshan’s physical education development and promised that they would fully cooperate in implementing the program.
