TCP Group donates 100,000 baht to the Mirror Foundation from the eco-friendly TCP WEnergy re.run 2024, promoting the return of endless energy to society and the world

Bangkok (August 20, 2024) – TCP Group continues to restore energy to society and the environment by donating proceeds, after deducting expenses, from the “TCP WEnergy re.run 2024” eco-friendly running event. The donation, totaling 100,000 baht, included over 500 used medals and more than 200 eco-friendly running shirts, all of which were given to the Mirror Foundation to support their work in societal development and bringing smiles to those with limited opportunities. Ms. Arjaree Suwangool, Corporate Affairs & Communications Department Director of TCP Group, presented the donation to Ms. Veraporn Prasoprattanasuk, Head of Corporate Communications and Fundraising at the Mirror Foundation.
Both TCP Group’s “TCP WEnergy re.run 2024” and the Mirror Foundation share the common goal of promoting a circular economy, supporting reuse to maximize value, and benefiting others as much as possible. The donated medals, still in good condition, and eco-friendly running shirts made from recycled plastic, will be distributed to children, youth, and others in need, contributing to sustainable development by improving people’s quality of life in society and safeguarding the environment.
Held on June 30, 2024, the TCP WEnergy re.run 2024 embraced the concept of the 3Rs: reduce – reuse – recycle. It was part of the “TCP WEnergy for the world” campaign, which aims to energize everyone to recognize the importance of environmental conservation and unite in doing good for the planet.
Additionally, TCP Group repurposed donated shirts from participants to produce 100 upcycled T-shirts, which will be delivered to the Mirror Foundation later in 2024.
Participants of the TCP WEnergy re.run 2024 have a chance to win an upcycled canvas bag made from the event’s banners through a lucky draw. In October 2024, 100 winners will be randomly selected to receive these unique prizes.
This initiative highlights TCP Group’s ongoing commitment to restoring energy to the world, emphasizing its principle of having a positive impact on society and the environment through its business practices.
